About Corey

Corey is a 1991 graduate from Springville Griffith Institute.  He is the son of Barbara Cudeck of Boston, NY and Timothy Hacker of Angola, NY.

While at Springville, Corey played football as a defensive back.  During his four years playing for the Griffins they were undefeated.  “It was a privilege to be a part of such a great team.  GI’s winning tradition and philosophies define the All American town that Springville is known to be.”  During Corey’s senior year he was awarded Division V All Western New York Defensive Back.  In 2013 Corey was inducted into the Pop Warner Hall of Fame.

Corey also participated in a non-traditional sport; Freestyle Skiing – Aerials.   Growing up skiing at Kissing Bridge was only the beginning.  During his time at Springville, Corey would spend the winters traveling on weekends to ski areas across New England.  His summers would be spent in Lake Placid training at the Olympic Jumping Complex.  After graduating from Springville, Corey dedicated his efforts towards training, with his focus on becoming a member of the United States Ski Team.  He was a member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team from 1995-2003.  During that time, Corey competed in many World Cup competitions around the globe.  He was crowned the 1998 Nor-Am Grand Prix Champion.  In 2001, he was a member of the World Championship Team, where he placed 5th

In 2006, Corey married Kelly Hilliman from Tonawanda, who was also his teammate on the U.S. Ski Team.  They live in Lakeview, NY.  Corey currently works at the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority in the public affairs department.

Since 2007, Corey and Kelly have directed the Freestyle Skiing program at HoliMont in Ellicottville, called the FLITE Team.  This stands for Focus Leads Individuals To Excellence.  The team is designed to create character building opportunities through determination and a commitment to excellence.  They have taken what they have learned through high school sports and competitive skiing, and are giving back locally to the sport they love.  Corey has achieved the highest level coaching certification in the organization and has coached, shaped and helped develop elite U.S. and Canadian Ski Team athletes.

Corey and Kelly are proud parents of three incredible children Kylee (11), Cayden (9) and Cooper (5).  They enjoy every minute spent with them including watching them in sport.  Kylee is quite a dancer following in her grandmother Kathy's footsteps who owned a dance studio in Kenmore for many years.  The all enjoy soccer and the boys recently started to race BMX bikes.  Skiing...yes the are all great skiers and enjoy competing in moguls and aerials.
